Mom… along the way, I have lost you. I’ve been looking everywhere for you but you are nowhere to be found. Where are you?
Yet another Mother’s Day has come and gone. And with each passing year, more of her is lost. She is elsewhere now. Far, far away. In fact, sometimes so far that I do not know where she is.
Crying out to the God above for His protection, grace and mercy, I weep as I see her so lost, so forlorn, so sad at missing home. Unsavory people have pounced upon her good heart, and like leeches, they latch their front suckers onto her and slowly drain her lifeblood.
But she does not know. Because she is lost. She is far away. She does not feel the pain, the leeching.
But I know. I feel the pain, the leeching. But my hands are tied. I am unable to rescue her because someone else has her.
Mother’s Day… I think of you every day … how you make me worry and weep…
